Angel has four years of experience providing trauma-informed care to children, adolescents, and families. I offer virtual therapy across North Carolina using a strengths-based, client-centered approach to support healing, resilience, and life transitions. Her background in social work across diverse settings has deepened my understanding of the systems that impact mental health and strengthened my commitment to holistic care.

Beth Teresa Gosnell
MAAT, NCC, ATR- BC®, LCMHC, CWSI
Beth brings her extensive training in art, psychotherapy, and the creative process to her work as a clinician. As an art therapist, she can utilize nonverbal expression and exploration through a variety of art materials and expressive arts, including theatre, music, film, poetry, animation, and comics/anime. Beth focuses on integrating art and creativity to facilitate communication, insight, growth, and healing.

Dena Marie Johnson

Dena graduated with her Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Miami and a Masters of Science in Clinical Counseling from East Carolina University. She and her husband of 23 years are the proud parents of four children. She is a member of the American Association of Sexuality Educators Counselors and Therapists. She works with adults and young people who question their sexuality and have issues that arise from their lifestyle.

Donita Smith is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Shaw University in 2015 and her Master of Social Work from North Carolina Central University in 2019. Donita provides a calm, welcoming, and collaborative space where clients feel comfortable discussing even difficult topics. She works with individuals and families experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, and relational concerns, focusing on building emotional awareness, coping skills, and meaningful change.

Mr. Alston specializes in care for individuals experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, Borderline Personality Disorder, substance use concerns, gender-affirming issues, and other mental health conditions. He aims to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore their experiences, build resilience, and work toward healing and personal growth.

Jenna provides individual Telehealth services to adult clients across the state. I have a heart for helping others because we all need support sometimes. Her approach is to meet clients where they are and provide therapeutic support as their journey to mental wellness progresses.
Her specialty areas include coping skills, stress, depression, ADHD, anxiety, family conflict, grief, life transitions, peer relationships, relationship issues, self-esteem, and trauma/PTSD.

Kathleen believe it is the therapeutic relationship that helps us heal. We do not live in a vacuum; we change and grow through our relationships. She works with people experiencing depression, anxiety, grief and loss, physical and/or sexual abuse, relationship issues, issues connected with the LGBT community, and behavioral issues. She enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults, and I provide individual, group, and family therapy.

Laquanna M. Lucas

Laquanna received her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2018. After graduating, she decided to return back to school where she received her Masters of Social Work from Capella University in 2021. Laquanna enjoys serving diverse populations, mentoring the youth, and being a mental health advocate. She has had experience working with the homeless population, and has also worked in a psychiatric inpatient hospital.

Mariela Albarelli Butler

Born in Argentina to Italian parents, Mariela speaks Spanish and some Italian! She has lived and worked in several countries, including Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, Colombia, Spain, and Italy, and now reside in the United States with my husband and their blended international family. Her many years of volunteer work with organizations such as UNICEF naturally led her to a career in social work. I am passionate about ongoing learning, advocacy, and supporting others. Outside of work, she enjoys fitness classes and exploring new cultures and cuisines with her husband.

Minerva has 9 years of experience in the mental health field. She began her career in mobile crisis services supporting individuals with mental health, substance use, and IDD needs, which inspired her commitment to continuity of care and long-term support. She earned her Associate in Arts from Pitt Community College (2017), her Bachelor of Social Work from Shaw University, and her Master of Social Work from Walden University (2022). She is a member of NASW, Phi Alpha Honor Society, and the National Association of Black Social Workers.

Queena has over 20 years of experience in healthcare and social services. Her background includes nursing in geriatrics, medical and administrative support, peer support, intensive in-home services, and Adult Protective Services work. She earned an Associate of Arts in Health Administration (2008), a Bachelor of Science in Psychology (2011), and a Master of Social Work (2022). My professional experience has given me a strong foundation in working with individuals facing complex behavioral, emotional, and socio-economic challenges, including severe and persistent mental illness. As a clinician and a single mother, she brings both professional expertise and lived understanding to her work.

Sodeya earned her Master of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and has 7 years of experience in mental health and human services.
She works with adults, adolescents, and older adults from diverse backgrounds, supporting concerns such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, adjustment disorders, ADHD, ODD, and family-related challenges. Her approach integrates cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing.

Shaunte is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor (LCMHCS) and Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS) with over 9 years of experience. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Rehabilitation Counseling from North Carolina A&T State University in 2015.
Shaunte provides individual, couples, family, and group counseling, utilizing evidence-based approaches with an emphasis on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Her areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, grief and loss, postpartum mental health concerns, anger management, relationship issues, substance use, and addiction.

Sherree Smith

She earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, a Master of Science in Counseling from Faulkner University, and also completed nursing training at Shelton State School of Nursing.
Sherree brings extensive experience from psychiatric hospitals, community mental health, outpatient services, intensive in-home treatment, nursing, case management, and substance abuse counseling. As a retired Soldier and member of a military family, she has a unique understanding of the challenges faced by service members and their loved ones.

Leistey Tyndall, PMHNP
Leistey is a Dual Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC). She earned her ADN from Gardner-Webb University (2006), BSN from Kaplan University (2009), MSN in Nursing Education from Gardner-Webb University (2012), a Post-Master’s Family Nurse Practitioner certification (2016), and a Post-Master’s Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification from Maryville University (2020).
She provides patient-centered care in both primary care and psychiatric mental health, offering comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and individualized treatment and medication management plans. Leistey is committed to empathetic, collaborative care that addresses each patient’s unique physical and mental health needs while supporting overall well-being.

Kyle Duncan, PMHNP
Kyle Duncan is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a diverse background in critical care, anesthesia, and nursing education. He earned his BSN from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2009 and worked in neuro-surgical and cardio-thoracic ICUs providing high-acuity care. He later completed his Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesia in 2015 and gained experience in both clinical practice and academic instruction, teaching nursing students in lab and simulation settings.
In 2023, Kyle completed a post-master’s certification in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing at Regis College, expanding his practice to include comprehensive mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment across the lifespan.

Dr. Christopher Arori, PMHNP-BC, APRN, NP, BLS, ACLS
Dr. Christopher Arori’s journey is a testament to the power of perseverance, education, and second chances. Growing up in rural Kenya, he studied by daylight in a church without electricity and excelled academically, eventually skipping two grades and returning to tutor students in his village. After immigrating to the United States, Dr. Arori earned BA and MA degrees in Psychology from North Carolina Central University, followed by a BSN, MSN in Nursing Education, and a PhD in Public Health. His career has included roles as an educator, nurse, healthcare administrator, college founder, and psychiatric provider.

Adhanom Habteslassie Asgedom, PMHNP, DNP
Adhanom Asgedom is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and certified psychiatric nurse (PMH-BC). He earned his ADN from South Piedmont Community College (2018), his BSN from the University of North Carolina Wilmington (2021), and his Doctor of Nursing Practice in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from UNC Wilmington (2025).
He provides patient-centered, holistic mental health care grounded in empathy, evidence-based practice, and therapeutic support. He is committed to helping individuals improve their mental health and well-being by addressing the interconnected needs of mind, body, and spirit.

Sandra Kechi Ohadugha PMHNP-BC
Sandra Ohadugha is a North Carolina–based, doctoral-prepared Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). She earned her BSN from Winston-Salem State University (2018) and her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of North Carolina Wilmington (2024), following over five years of experience as a mental health RN.
She has experience across inpatient, outpatient, and telehealth settings and provides evidence-based psychiatric care across the lifespan. Her clinical focus includes anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorders in adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.

Sara M. Banit PMHNP-BC
Originally from Long Island, NY, Sara earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Liberty University in 2017 and my Master’s degree with a psychiatric specialty from Walden University in 2023. Her nursing background includes experience in NeuroScience ICU, PACU, and radiology settings. Through those experiences, she recognized the critical need for greater access to mental health care and became passionate about helping address mental health disparities. She believes mental health is just as important as physical health and deserves the same level of attention and care.

Veronica Johnson, PMHNP
Veronica is a dual board-certified psychiatric and family nurse practitioner specializing in holistic and integrative mental health care. She completed psychiatric training at Vanderbilt University (2015) and family practice training at Western Carolina University (2014).
She integrates conventional psychiatry with functional and lifestyle medicine, drawing on additional training in trauma and addiction recovery modalities such as EMDR, hypnotherapy, and somatic therapies. Her approach emphasizes addressing root causes of distress, supporting emotional regulation, and guiding patients toward sustainable well-being.

Vickie Lynn Thomas, MSN, APRN, PMHNP, BC
Vickie has 19 years of experience providing psychiatric care. Originally from Kentucky, she earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Bellarmine University and my Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Kentucky. She provides psychiatric services for children ages 6 and older, adolescents, adults, and older adults. Throughout my career, I have worked in both outpatient clinics and inpatient hospital settings, treating individuals with acute and chronic mental health conditions, including substance use.
