You contact the therapist or clinic by phone, email, or online form.
Staff confirms basic logistics: availability, insurance or payment options, session length and frequency, fees, cancellation policy, and whether the clinician’s approach fits your needs.
Consent and disclosure documents explain confidentiality, limits of confidentiality (e.g., risk of harm, abuse, court orders), telehealth policies, and billing/insurance details.
An agency clinician reviews your paperwork and asks open and focused questions to understand presenting concerns, current functioning
